〔記者吳琬婷／綜合報導〕1965年經典電影《真善美》曾在奧斯卡抱回5項大獎，風靡影壇超過半世紀，片中飾演「二女兒」的女星海瑟曼奇斯，因腦癌於平安夜在加拿大家中病逝，享壽68歲。
海瑟曼奇斯15歲時演出《真善美》，之後也參與不少電視影集和電影拍攝，活躍7、80年代演藝圈，她的丈夫羅伯烏瑞奇2002年死於癌症，之後她以丈夫之名成立基金會，致力於照顧癌症病患，但沒想到她也因癌症病逝。海瑟曼奇斯的兒子也發聲明表示：「海瑟曼奇斯是個演員、芭蕾舞者，而且熱愛生命。」並透露母親在4周前才診斷出罹患腦癌末期。

Heather Menzies-Urich (December 3, 1949 – December 24, 2017)[1] was a Canadian-American model and actress, known for her roles as Louisa von Trapp in the 1965 film The Sound of Music[2] and Jessica 6 in the TV series Logan's Run.[3]
Menzies was born in Toronto on December 3, 1949, to Scottish parents[4][5] who had emigrated to Canada after the war.[6] Her father was a struggling artist. By Menzies' 14th birthday, she had lived in Vancouver, Miami,London, and Southern California. She had one sister named Sheila.[4]
Menzies was cast in The Sound of Music at the age of 14 or 15 as Louisa.[7] The songs Menzies performed in the film include "So Long, Farewell" and the "Lonely Goatherd".[8]Her television credits included Dragnet, Bonanza, Marcus Welby, M.D., The Bob Newhart Show, and she also starred as Jessica 6 in the short-lived TV series Logan's Run.[9]Menzies was cast in Hawaii, How Sweet It Is!, Hail, Hero!, Piranha, and Endangered Species.[7][9]
Menzies was featured in Playboy magazine during 1973 in a pictorial titled "Tender Trapp"[7], in reference to her The Sound of Music role. She was later cast in four Made-for-TV-Movies: The Keegans,[10] James Dean,[11] Tail Gunner Joe,[12] and Captain America.[13]
Menzies married John Cluett in 1969 and divorced in 1973. She married Robert Urich in 1975. Urich and Menzies first met in 1974 while filming a Libby’s hash commercial in which they got "married."[4][14]
Heather Menzies-Urich was diagnosed with terminal brain cancer in November 2017.[2] She died on December 24, 2017.[15][16] Menzies-Urich was survived by three children and two grandchildren.[17]
The wife of actor Robert Urich, who died from a rare form of cancer in 2002, Heather Menzies established the Robert Urich Foundation[18] and spent most of her time in her last years devoted to the organization that raises money for cancer research and support for cancer patients.[19]
